This paper is beautiful but can only be used for very simple designs. The paper is not durable enough for models with too many folds. The hinged box designed by Dave Brill is the absolute upper limit. The result is stunning if the paper doesn't tear which it does more than half the time. It will work nicely for non-complex models such as those shown on the package.
I originally purchased these to make paper lanterns, to put over a string of Christmas lights and have glowing lanterns.However, please note that this product IS NOT WASHI PAPER. It is very dense, with a glossy finish. They make terrible lanterns, because the light cannot get through the material at all.That being said, the designs are very beautiful (some I didn't even want to fold - I wanted to frame them instead), and the price is fantastic.There eight different patterns, six sheets of each, which is good if you fudge up the first couple of times. I wish there was more variety, but for this price it's a very good deal.
Vibrant colors, fine detail, crisp papers and great choice of traditional designs and companion solid color backing. The only problem is that the stink of the ink is very potent and for anyone chemically sensitive, they cannot work with these until they have been thoroughly aired outdoors, which is a bit of a pain to spread out safely and turn several times until "cured". If not for that problem, they'd easily get 5 stars as utterly delightful.
Perfect square. Awesome complementary colors on the back of each print. Yes, it does have a “gift-wrap paper†texture to it which I like. Paper has a good thickness and creases cleanly; very easy to work with for medium complexity projects.
Good quality, but the paper has a strong odor. In this day and age, paper odors are a thing of the past. Seriously!
The designs are pretty and the paper is nicely squared and of high quality.
Really nice quality paper, securely packaged, lovely two-sided paper of various scale and color prints.
Pretty paper but it's like magazine paper and it wrinkles and squishes easily.
